Abstract
The article considers the phenomenon of argumental resonance characterized by the excitation of a linear or nonlinear oscillator at its quazi-own frequency under the action of an external monochromatic force. In this case, the frequency of the acting force can be much higher or lower than the oscillator own frequency. The forme of the force and its non-linearity as well as the non—linearity of the oscillator are of no principal significance. This phenomenon has obtained reliable experimental and theoretical grounds.
